How to prepare

• Empty drawers, shelves and cabinets before we arrive — it makes pieces lighter and stops damage in transit
• Remove legs, shelves and detachable parts where possible and bag the fittings
• Measure the piece and the tightest doorway or corner on the route
• Clear the path at both ends: hallway clutter, low branches and parked cars
• Photograph anything already marked so there is no dispute about prior wear

On arrival we walk the route first, then carry, load, strap and shift. At the other end the piece goes where you want it — not just inside the front door.
